Meet Your Therapist: Jacqueline
Healing is about more than just feeling better for a moment; it's about understanding why you feel the way you do and finding a new way forward.
For the past 10 years, I have worked with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, chronic pain and illness, and sexual addiction. My approach is built on a simple but powerful idea: our minds and bodies are connected. The things that happen to us, the genes we inherit, and the stories we tell ourselves all shape who we are.
How We Work Together
I combine two powerful, evidence-based modalities, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), to treat the whole person: your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and the memories stored in your brain.
-
CBT for Your Mind: We will work together to uncover the automatic thoughts and core beliefs that drive your emotions. Through collaborative inquiry, we'll challenge these patterns and build new, healthier ways of thinking.
-
EMDR for Your Brain: Sometimes, talking isn't enough. Traumatic or difficult memories can get "stuck" in the brain, causing us to react as if the danger is still present. Using EMDR, we target these specific memories to help your brain process them naturally, reducing their emotional charge and allowing you to move forward.
Tailored to Your Needs: While CBT and EMDR are my primary tools, I am flexible and draw from other evidence-based approaches like Motivational Interviewing and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) to ensure we have the right tools for your unique journey. Whether you need help building emotional regulation skills, finding motivation for change, or navigating complex relationships, I will adapt our approach to support you best.
What to Expect From Our Sessions
My style is a blend of warmth, curiosity, and directness.

I believe therapy should feel safe.
-
I won't just give you answers. Instead, I'll ask questions that help you discover your own insights, challenge your assumptions, and find clarity.
-
I believe that gentle honesty is important to the path to growth. If you need to be challenged to move forward, I will be there to do that with care.
